(Video, fabric, stool, painted shadow, cellist and projection)
A site-specific installation for the opening of Xian Rui: Ten Years, celebrating the curatorial work of Abby Chen and the CCC. Using the imagery of pieta and Abraham and a running river, the artist is projected and drawn as a shadow over an empty stool, where Cellista performed Bach cello suites and her own compositions, adding her shadow to the layers of shadows. During exhibition hours, the stool remains empty.
